Hi all, I'm new to SimSig and trying Royston as advised for beginners. What must I do when a train terminates at Royston platform 1? What to do next with it? I have to free the platform for another approaching train. Greetings, Alex Aartsen Log in to reply |

There should be an activity in the rightmost row, something like "N:....", the 4 characters show what the next working is which will probably be an outbound working back towards King's Cross. You'll need to interpose the outbound working to see what it says. Simply press I, type in the 4 characters for the next working and click on the signal in front of the train and it should display the headcode in the berth for you.

Welcome, EHAM747 If you scroll down the Index Page of the Forum, you will see a specific section for questions about the Royston sim and also a section for questions and comments about timetables for the sim. The timetable sections includes some notes about a "tutorial" timetable that Andyg has put together so that people new to SimSig can start to understand how it works. The timetable itself is available in the Downloads section of the site, and there are some notes about how the Tutorial TT works here on the Wiki. Have a look at the Wiki notes and see if that helps your problem. Hello This is my first post and also my first attempt at using SimSig. As recommended I am using Royston to gain some experience of how SimSig works. I have run into a problem with the reversing of 6R02 into Sherriff's Siding. I pulled the freight into Platform 2 and set K246 into the siding and 6R02 routed correctly. However, I noticed that there was a duplicate 6R02 waiting at signal 975, which I could only remove from the sim by repeating the routing into Sherrif's Siding. Is this a known problem with Royston in paticular or any sim or is it something that I can correct myself? I am running Windows7. Many thanks Tim Log in to reply |
