Guts Area signalling manager Username: Guts Post Number: 172 Registered: 8-2004 Posted on Wednesday, 02 November, 2005 - 12:35 am: Its partly a sim issue and partly a timetable issue. Its a sim issue in that they should join, but I think they stop short or dont recognise the train in front. Its a timetable issue in that maybe where I have platformed the train is also the problem. The Solution: Whichever train arrives first, just leave it. The 2nd Train MUST have its timetable abandoned as soon as it gets onto the platform, preferably before it stops moving. (N.B. This is only to stop you having to reverse the direction). When the train pulls up to the stationary train, you will see the message 'Train in Front' in 'F2' view. At this point you should click 'Run to timetable' with the right timetable, REMEMBERING to 'Set Current' location to Bristol Temple Meads. The train will then join. Do the same with last train. Hope that helped. It seems long winded, but its just that I've written it so ANYONE can do it. ...oOo... Guts Area signalling manager Username: Guts Post Number: 175 Registered: 8-2004 Posted on Saturday, 12 November, 2005 - 12:04 pm: NEW Problem. Sorry. I've just realised the 1E33 leaves an hour early off 1V39. It should leave at 12:58 not 11:58. I'm going to look at the platforming. As I'm running an early version of the timetable, it might not still be a problem, but I'll check and see what conflicts I find. Sorry again. ...oOo... In the description of 6B19, "Haverford West" should be a single word. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Using this timetable, on the modern era of Bristol (using the versions of SimSig and Bristol currently downloadable today, since I've only just reinstalled it), I'm having problems with two trains in the Avonmouth BHT area. Firstly, 6D05-1 and 6D03-1 both appear from the same point, and somehow 6D03-1 managed to follow 05 out into BHT South road 2. I couldn't convince it to get out the way, so I had to remove it. I did not reset the route; it simply had not cleared after 05 passed. Probably waiting a bit after the shunter calls up to let 03 out would solve it temporarily. Secondly - 6D05-1 now appears to be unable to move from BHT south road 2 to BHT north road 2. It shows as moving at 0mph in the correct direction; it's not stuck at a signal or anything. I tried reversing it; it went back to the far end of the south road, which put it back past SA613. So I cleared the route into north road 2, and reset it. Same result; train moved past SA613, then slowed to 0mph and hasn't got anywhere in an hour of game time. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a slight bug here somewhere? (Knowing me, it's probably me doing something wrong, but...) Log in to reply |

Re 2nd issue (Avonmouth BHT trains moving very, very, very slowly) this is, as far as I'm aware, a known issue. See here.
