Question on where stock comes from on GW sims... 24/08/2011 at 10:57 #20015

Hello all,

I have a question for a Saturday WTT based on the current summer 2011 TT that is in use at the moment, however I have a couple of questions on what the stock does or where it comes from. I thought I'd post on here as someone might happen to know or has personally seen where it comes from.

I am not bothered about it's headcode or times (though it would be useful but not essential) I just prefer to know the start location.

1 - The 0909 Bristol TM - Weymouth SO service, does the unit(s) come ECS from Marsh Junction for this? I also believe the unit that detaches from 1F03 at Bristol joins up to this set at Temple Meads?

2 - The return 1V67 1655 Weymouth - Bristol TM terminates in P15, so I'd assume it's back to base at Marsh Junction after?

3 - 2E30 2206 Bristol TM - Gloucester starts at Platform 1 but the only other thing I can find that terminates in P1 earlier is the Severn Beach - Bristol TM unit (which I have down for a pacer) is this worked off the same unit though, as I don't know if they would want a 143 in Gloucester since they are based at Exeter...

4 - On the above note though on the Severn Beach line, is this actually the same 2 units up and down all day? I'm sure I have been up there on a weekend some time ago and in the evening it was a different unit, but I don't know if this was for cover or if they swap units..but in the timetable it looks ample for the same units to go up and down all day?

5 - 2F91, the 1010 Westbury - Warminster shuttle, I can't figure where the stock comes from nor what it does when it returns back to Westbury. I assume it comes from the DMU sidings after sitting there all night and morning, as there is nothing obvious that I can see if it drops off another set. Then I guess it returns to Westbury Sidings after arriving there?

Any help would be highly appreciated! :)

Regards,

James.

1/2 – 1O72 is formed of a 153 off of the rear of 1F06 which is attached at Westbury at 08:10 and a 150 off of the rear of 2D02 06.00 ex Exeter St Davids. On arrival back at Bristol TM both run as 5V67 19+39 to St Phillips Marsh T&RSMD.

3 – 2E30 is formed of a 150 off of 2C91 19.55 Cardiff Ctl – BTM.

4 – Both units remain on the branch for the duration.

5 – the stock for 2F91 is a 150 ex berth at Westbury Sdgs. It runs in there after eing detached from the rear of 2C08 07.49 ex BTM. On arrival back at Westbury the train then forms 2O05 11.11 to Southampton

Ah ha I did to the 153 right by chucking it off at Bristol P5, just wondered what unit it attaches to, now I know!

Thank you ever so much for that Noisynoel, it is highly appreciated!

Thank you again!

Something else I forgot to add actually, for units running ECS to the DMUD, I understand they get serviced at where SPM East (spur) is? I guess this is pretty light as in emptying the toilets and cleaning the interior maybe? How long would be feasable as I would say 30-40 minutes max but that might be a bit too fast!
