My contribution, for what it is worth.

Location 1

Location 2
The destination has been blurred on this one.
Anyone care to take a guess?

Good game, good game (Brucie Forsyth voice). But the posting and labelling of the locations has become haphazard. Can we not introduce a logical way of numbering the pictures e.g. a sequence of integers ? At the moment there may be as many as four pictures with the label number 1.

Correct. One of the boxes photographed on the signalbox photographic trip I did up that way on 09th April. That leaves "Location 5".

Just a quick note to those posting photos on Flickr:

You can stop anyone from commenting on a photo in the settings. Either go to the individual photos and at the bottom of the right hand side options, click on the "Show More" link then edit the relevant permissions there or click on "Organise & Create" -> "All your content" / "Most recent uploads", make sure all of your "Guess The Location" photos are inside the 'big area' then click on "Permissions" -> "Who can see, comment, tag" -> "More options", make sure the photos are set to "Anyone (public)" then select the two "Only you" radio buttons followed by "Change Permissions" then finally "Thanks!" and hey presto no-one should be able to comment on your photos, add tags, add people, etc.

Is UKTM-4 Woolmer Green junction?

And for UKTM-2, judging by the signals I would say that it is somewhere on the ECML; most likely south of Hitchin. Where I can't say. I do however think that the train is the flying banana.

Whose location photo/picture are you taking a guess at?

If it's my latest one ('UKTM-05') then no, it isn't.

Any more guesses on the last of the two I posted on the previous page?

www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6125063797

I edited the name plate out but it was below that black shadow in the middle of the front of the box. If this one isn't guessed then I have a fiendish one for my next teaser: not sure if I will use it or not though as it will depend on what kind of day I have had at work!!!

Regarding the above post, I will post the new teaser on Monday when I get back from work if there are no correct guesses. And you won't, I think, get the new one either.......

Dave,

I think its Ferryside.

The light blue post on the platform made me think Arriva Trains Wales, but the english only notice on the level crossing had me looking at the North & West Line originally.

Peter,

Correct. The box is indeed Ferryside, Carmarthenshire. You have spared the forum - for the time being at least - from the teaser that would have followed had you not solved the Ferryside one. And no-one would have got the one I had in mind!!

For anyone interested the box at Ferryside (SWM2, 238m 47ch) opened in 1880. It is fully mechanical. On the day I took the photo (23-Jun-2011) I asked the signalman who advised that the frame has 23 levers of which 10 are active.

Really? Right. You asked for it. Here goes.

This picture features something a lot of people don't normally get to see: the inside of a signalbox. But which box was the EWS-hauled freight train approaching on the date the picture was taken? Guesses welcome and good luck.....

http://www.flickr.com/photos/14103794@N04/6137395083

For anyone wondering, the picture was taken for me by the signalman who was on duty when I called: I could not get permission to enter the box but he took a number of photos of the interior.

Regret asking now, jc? :P

Dave, your latest above (Post #118) looks like it's been taken from inside the signalbox located in the 10-foot at Lichfield.

Lots of clues in the photo to be honest, e.g. signal prefixes and the actual name of the fringe box on the box diagram.
