No-one seems to have got my last four, so here's some clues.

6 and 8 are very close to each other, though none of the signals are visible in both.

7 and 1 might be seen by the driver of the same train on his journey.

A: notice which quadrant the signals act in, which will tell you which part of the country it is in.
Clive,

Is 6 Manea and 8 the A141 over bridge at March? Both looking towards Peterborough.

Peter.

Yes, 6 is Manea, but 8 isn't March, though it is looking towards Peterborough.

Further clues: 7 is in London and facing towards London Bridge. If you rode the train in A you'd see quite a lot of animals.

Surely A is not a station on the Bure Valley Railway?

In regards of picture 8, after a fair amount of looking around on Google Earth I conclude that the photo was taken from the A10 overbridge at Chettisham. The two level crossings threw me a bit as I don't know the area but there are two LCs close together looking towards Manea: they are Beild Drove and North Fen Drove.

Number 7 is taken adjacent to the shunters stop board on Hither Green B Reception Road leading to Bramdean Freight Sidings. This is not to be confused with Bramdean Carriage Sidings, which are part of the Grove Park Carriage Servicing Depot Complex. The electrifed Bramdean Carriage siding is immediately to the left as viewed.

AndyG: you can't prevaricate like that; you've got to make your mind up.

DaveH: correct! There's actually *seven* level crossings in that picture: in the foreground is a foot crossing whose name I forget, then between the first two signals (CA921 and CA923R) are four AHBs: Beald Drove, North Fen, Black Bank, and Second Drove. Just after CA923R is Third Drove AHB, and finally between the green (CA923) and the yellow (M43R) is 'A' Furlong Drove foot crossing.

DriverCurran: also correct! Though Quail reckons it's only "B Reception" at the south end.

Well that was a good guess even if I say so myself! The StreetView image I based my guess on was this:

Just click if you wish for a better view of what I saw. You can't see the foot crossing and neither can you see any of the signals!
