Weedon? GU Canal out of shot to the left, a down road hurrying through.

(Edited to add: didn't see DaveHarries got there first.)

Correct! Well done there. Which means, of course, that FP1B is in the north of England, and is not on a preserved line...

Taken from Woad Lane level crossing looking east towards Pyewipe Road with a rather long lens (or a tight crop).

I thought I recognised the buildings in the background! Definitely Grimsby anyway!

Exactly where it was taken from. A long lens, if a "compact" camera can have such a thing.

I would like to have taken this one in the sunshine but I couldn't. And the sunshine didn't come out again before I left the place. But where did I photograph this CrossCountry train?

Guesses welcome but knowing you lot this may well not last long.

Worle! Where the old Worle station was, not the current one.

As I've answered the last couple, I should probably set some more. Are there any more guesses for the castle and viaduct back in post #453? The clues I've already given are that a) it's in one of England's most northerly counties b) it's not preserved. It is, actually, disused, and has been for nearly 60 years.

If it's a bit too obscure, here's a rather grander railway location. I have blurred out one of the passenger information displays, but I am willing to admit that I arrived here on a Sprinter:

FP-2A

And here's one which is almost as disused as the unguessed, but rather more urban:

FP-2B

You got me, I've been looking on open lines. Time to get the map pout again.
