On the side of my TV we have three round connectors, Red Yellow and White- I believe these are called AV-input. To that we have permanently attached my son's XBOX. Now my wife wants a Wii Fit thing which we believe also requires those connectors. The question is can I buy some sort of hub thing that will enable both to remain hard wired to the TV or do we need to swap the cables around when we want to use one or the other?

OR

I have seen that I can buy AV to SCART cables and I know I can buy a multi-SCART connector thing so is that something that might be a better route to explore?

Thanks

Peter

How about this link. It is for a Wii to Scart cable.

http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=av+to+scart+connectors&cr=countryUK%7CcountryGB&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=761656414383285497&ei=ccT2SuesOo3m4QbS3t3VAw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CB0Q8wIwBA#ps-sellers

I wouldn't know how good it is as my wife won't countenance a Wii in the house for fear of never having control of the TV again.

I think these might do what you want (and Maplin are virtually giving them away while stocks last). I have a couple on my audio system; I have just taken one out and connected one of the Wii leads to the TV through it so I can confirm that the connections are compatible.

If you don't fancy using Maplin's mail order, your local electrics or electronics store should have them or be able to get them. They are generically phono plug to twin phono socket adaptors.

I use one of those switch boxes as suggested by Panelbeater - an absolutely identical one in fact - and they are ideal.
