To start with i apologise if this is in the wrong place but i didnt really know where to put my question... When I first started enjoying these sims, the track layout was spread over a few pages. So i would click vw1 or 2 etc. Now there is just one big screen to view all the track. Can i ask why this change has happened as i rather prefer the "paged" screen set up. Is it possible for me myself to change how a sim looks on my screen? Log in to reply |

No, unfortunately whether the sim is paged or scrolly is set by the Developer of that particular sim. paged versions of Swindon and Didcot are still available, if you don't want to use SwinDid scrolly, but these are older versions with less of the features new Sims have.

Using the =hot&s[]=keys]HotKeys is kind of like paging it. There should be a list of HotKeys for each Sim in the manual. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Yup. You can scroll the screen using the mouse wheel (if you have one), and you can use hotkeys mentioned on each manual. http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:mans:manuals Basically if you are thinking that the scrolley sim is too long to scroll, they may be intended for multiple players and you will soon go crazy on your own... Smaller sims like Brighton (?) is for two people but one can also handle it. They don't require much scrolling and may make you feel better (?...) If you really want paged versions, then only play paged sims. (spoiler) Quote: Quoted from me: Log in to reply |

There are several that I can see 1) It looks more like the real think where the layout is spread over a bank of screens in front of the signaller. 2) WIth the change in screen size from 4x2 to 16x9, you can get more on a screen 3) You can open multiples windows so you can monitor busy areas such as corssings and junctions constantly 4) If you are fortunate enough to have multiple monitors, you can strech the layout over them.
