For anybody interested the Freight Locate site now has access to all the passenger services as well. This includes the booked platform numbers where known. This information should make writing current timetables simpler. The information is updated daily and also shows the temporary timetables for weekend engineering works. This is a subscription site (I am a subscriber) but as they obviously have a commercial arrangement with Network Rail they have to get the cash back somehow!! I am impressed with the information available and feel it is money well spent. I hasten to add I have no connection other than as a subscriber. Now back to that new Oxted timetable.. " said:Sorry, just to point out:You're quite right to point this out. However, I'm led to believe that Freight Locate might actually have a commercial license to distribute the information. How, why, or whether it's true, I don't know. The fact it hasn't been shut down must mean something as to its legitimacy. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Indeed, it has been going for some time now! People did wonder if you got anything when you paid your money. Thank you for the heads up, I have purchased a 6 month membership and it works fully this is the sort of info that I was looking for to aid timetable writing. I wonder if they have an agreement, I assume NR really ain't that fussed over a simple bunch of timings for us enthusiasts, not a security risk at least Now I can crack on with my Trent TT B) Log in to reply |
