I have come into my possession a full set of current (Dec 10) MR & WR WTT's (both passenger & freight), and am looking to build some (hopefully) timetables from that. Is there anywhere obvious that would benefit from my work (ie not duplicate too much what's already out there)?

Hi there, I would think if you have current TTs then not much will have been done so far. If you have a look through the uploaded TTs in the download/upload section that will reveal whether 2010 TTs have been done and for where. I suppose the only thing would be if any are in development at this point. I'm sure if you post your intentions, someone will say if they are 'on the case'! Hope this might help Michael Ripley, Derbyshire Log in to reply |

I believe that any timetable is a good thing, but of course probably not if it is very similar to a current timetable. As 'mfloyd' says, you could post your intentions publicly and ask if anyone objects or if anyone is also doing that era, etc. Who knows you may be able to work with them on a joint WTT which would surely lighten the workload on both yourself and them. I assume MR and WR is the WTT section and if so which ones (i.e: what areas are they)?

Midland Region and Western Region at a guess, not sure what current timetables are being done, most ones I'm aware of are 2009 and earlier.

Sorry - yes - the entire Midland and Western region WTT's for December 2010 to May 2011 (both passenger and freight). Since there's nothing standing out as obvious, I shall have a little think... Suggestions welcome... God bless, Daniel Wilson Log in to reply |

While were are on the subject of timetables i got hold of a wtt for 14 may - 30 sept 1990 for edinburgh area, its section Gc and covers all passenger, parcels and freight, also might come in handy for NE scot when its released as it covers upto aberdeen, inverness and the far north, but i think trying to do a timetable for edinburgh might well be a bit too much for me !! Might take a while but these days there is a lot of repetition in the timings so once you have a basic set of times you can copy and increment write the data straight to .txt per Clive's Convdata instructions. I used it for KX 1977 and once you got the hang of it it was reasonable easy to use. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
