Hi

Firstly thank you for a great sim. I'm not sure if this is a bug or what happens in real life.

I had a set of points fail (719) from the down main to the bank engine siding at washwood heath. I then decided to place a TSR there to "protect the techs" (through incident panel), saved the game amnd just reloaded it and then i got the call saying it was fixed, went to clear the TSR and it wasn't there.

Are they automatically lifted if the sim recognises it's over a fault?

Again many thanks for what IMHO is the hardest simulation yet

My guess is that it is more likely to have been lost in the save and subsequent reload than in the rectification of the failure.

Try reloading the game again and then seeing if the TSR is still there before rectification.

Thanks for the reply

I've just played it for a bit and noticed the TSR is still active even though it's not in the list. Had a TCF on the bordsley link line, put a TSR over the adjecent line, saved and loaded it and that TSR is missing too, even though th fault is still active.

I'm having so much fun with the incident panel too

many thanks
Mark

If your referring to tsr's for techs then not really. By day they'd work with lookouts unless it was a restricted location and by night they'd take a line blockage between trains.

It does depend what the fault is. If it's a TCF because of a broken IBJ, P-Way may well want a speed restriction over it for a bit.

Speed restrictions have never been a method of protection.

Of course, SimSig doesn't simulate in that detail though.

This is a known issue, and I believe it is logged with the developers.
I set a 2mph limit and was never able to clear it.
