Pop up as per uploaded screen grab. Followed by continuing pop ups showing "Access Violation at address 0051566A in module 'Lime_St.exe'. Read of address 00000004". Pop ups appeared even while sim was paused and rate varied but was sometimes several per second. Can't confirm definitely, but it is possible that message was triggered when editing sticky note which had already been posted in screen. After I cancelled all messages, pop up on P3 showed as empty yellow rectangle. When I right clicked on it to edit it, data I had amended showed and when I OK'd revised data appeared in sticky. Sim appeared to work normally after that. Post has attachments. Sod! John... 1) can you Mantis this (Lime Street changed to "public" in Mantis - I should have done that sooner) 2) can you reproduce it? This was seen in testing, but we only ever saw it the once on older core code and couldn't get it to happen again. Log in to reply |

Can't reproduce on demand, but I'll report if it happens again. Very similar to something that happened on Saltley last week that I've already reported.

Judging by the message, it says exception in "DrawStringCore" function, so it may be a bug in the core code, and this may happen to other sims too! PS, a search in Google give me no relevant information of the function, so it is either SimSig or Delphi's or Windows' internal things. Can you remember what situation did this error happen? Even any small unusual things are significant in solving the problem. Like what did you typed in the note? Did you tried to do sth, like interpose, moving the note? And notice in the screenshot, sliding B is missing the buffer end. Last edited: 14/12/2011 at 16:08 by alvinhochun Log in to reply |

I got this too earlier today, only once though. I was moving 2H401 to the head of Platform 5 and this message popped up which is what was noted in the OP: "Internalerror: Exception in DrawStringCore (EAccessViolation: Access violation at address 0051566A in module 'Lime_St.exe'. Read of address 00000004". Nil. Log in to reply |

I have reason to believe that this is caused by editing a sticky note containing a train description while another train is just leaving the simulation or two trains are just finishing joining. Would this fit the situation where either of you got the problem? I'd like to know if this makes it possible for anyone else to recreate the problem.
