havent been for a while, but i like to take my 2 year old there to watch some trains, but as we take a pushchair the stairs can get a bit much after a while, i know they were installing new footbridge and lifts there, does anyone know if this work is complete? im taking him out this friday and would like to go, but if its not installed and working yet ill take him to peterborough. thanks for any info in advance richard Log in to reply |

This news article on RailNetwork.info mentions it is expected to be finished in Spring 2011, which is roughly about now. I've done a very quick search online but no luck yet in finding any mentions of it having been completed yet. Personally, I would advise contacting Network Rail on 08457 11 41 41 or NXEA on 0845 600 7245 and asking them about it, or give up on the Ipswich option and go with Peterborough. The National Rail Enquiries website says: Quote: Please note that building work began in July 2010 for a new footbridge and lifts at the station.
