Possible bug with Signal 155 at Euston.

Cleared a route from there to BOR1 for a light locomotive, and have two consecutive signals showing double yellow.

I have both a screenshot and a saved game, but my computer seems to object to me trying to post them.

Found another as well.

166 signal will not clear to platform 18 when it is occupied.

153, 155, 157, and 159 are all restricted to double yellow when 16 isn't green. I forget why I put that in - probably because the sighting distances are going to be short - but it was deliberate. Perhaps one of our ex-Euston bobbies can comment on the realism.

(Incidentally, I've no idea what the point of 157 is. Were long trains expected to stand beyond 153/155?)

That is why I put it as a possible because I wasn't 100% sure.

157 seems totally pointless.

Won't clear to P17 under same conditions either.

64 won't clear to P8 when occupied.

Is there any interlocking whereby you can't send a train into Euston if such a move would result in it not fitting inside the signal on the end of the platform?

As noted in the manual, the 15 main platforms have Lime Street Control; you can't signal a train in if both platform TCs are occupied and the train at 64/65 is more than about 40m long (occupies more than the berth track circuit). It's the controls on the moves into the extra platforms that are broken.

Proves I should read the manual, thanks Clive.

I think I've found another case of a signal not clearing, this time the route from 2 to L65 (the LOS on the Up Fast).

EDIT: Forget it, I've just noticed that the 'Train Running Away' alarm had been triggered, because thanks to a TCF I had to talk another train past a signal.
Come to think of it, would it be possible to add another event category in the F3 messages section for all sort of alarms, so you could assign a sound for those as well? AHB failure messages could be included there as well.

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

Like this:

needs the berth TC to be occupied for the signal to clear.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

That's the last thing on the request list for NESCOT development.
