Train length issues in default timetable 31/03/2011 at 14:52 #2726

I've had a couple of issues with lengths of trains in the default timetable that have not been mentioned before - not sure if they relate to the timetable or to lengths of locations within the sim.

3J90 arrives at Shirebrook from Nottingham and should reverse to go back the other way, but is too long for the section and the rear of the train still overhangs the previous track circuit.

4D30 arrives from the East into Worksop recep. 2 & reverses into Station Sidings, but it is too long for Station Sidings ("run out of valid track")

In response to the above, 3J90 needs to have stopping location of 'near end' in the WTT for Shirbrook.
4D30 is being investigated.

Many thanks

May be of a little help with 4D30 - altered to FX for station sidings the train reversed as booked - no run out of valid track error - uncoupling took place but there was no light loco in F2 and the circuit was still occupied from RCL2

Firstly, another fantastic release. My first time back after a long absence, and, as usual, I'm amazed at the skill of our 'constructors'.

It seems that, for me, Worksop Stn Sidings will not allow any train longer than 150m to come inside WP265, even at 'FX' location in timetable.
I think that I am right in saying that 0D30 does not appear in F2 as it is advance of WP265 when the detachment is completed, and therefore not actually at Worksop Station Sidings,

Thank you so much for yet more hours of challenge. I pledge a donation on contract day next month which will reflect 5/6 years of absolute wonder at the skill and generosity of the SimSig world, and the months and months of pleasure, frustration and education to be had therein.

So does anyone have any solution to 4D30 being unable to run into the station sidings at Worksop due to running out of track?

Going through this earlier today, I ended up running it back through Worksop as OD30 and run it into the Loco Sidings but it still was too long (though this was definitely expected since it's only a loco siding).

Nil.
