ARS not working 18/01/2012 at 23:06 #27737

ARS doesn't seem to work in any Simulations that I have tried. I have made sure that ARS is turned on when starting the sim, but whenever a train enters it says "xxxx" entering area non-ARS. Right click- make train ARS doesn't work either. System and Sim files are all up to date, and the same thing happens using different timetables. Has anyone had this problem before?

Check the ARS tab on F3 Options and see if the relevant boxes for the train classes (e.g: Class 1, Class 2, etc, etc) are ticked.

Have you checked the settings in f3 > ARS?

Also on Edinburgh there is a display box telling you what's set- what does that say?

I've checked everything obvious (I hope!)
Everything looks fine in F3 for both sims - ARS, ACI is off, but that didn't make a difference when I turned it on
For Edinburgh, it says ARS: On, TORR: On, AHB: Rare

Aha! Thanks, that fixed it.
I knew it would be something I was doing wrong, but I can't remember unchecking them, so assumed it couldn't have been that

Ive done that! I have also populated a load of trains into a single track circuit on the edinburgh sim, And forgot about it and had problems with certain trains getting stuck. Then come on here for help.
