Of all the shunt signals, K244 has Interpose disabled. Would there be any specific reason for this or could it be a bug?

Just a minor point. Thanks.

It obviously doesn't have a berth in reality, many sidings don't.

Are we covering old ground here?

Previous version of Royston did have a TD berth there so either an omission or a correction in the new version.

I don't know why you can't interpose at K244, but to get around it just interpose into K253. The TD will 'step' correctly for a train leaving the loop in either direction.

Thanks all who responded. Perhaps the most likely reason is that there is only enough room on the Down Loop for one berth, not two, therefore this can only be owned by one signal, K253.

might even be a shared berth.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

If a shared berth, wouldn't that mean one could interpose from either signal?

At work, we have a fair number of shunt signals that share a berth with a main aspect signal in the opposite direction. At *none* of these is it possible to interpose a TD using the shunt signal number - we have to use the main aspect number. In most circumstances, this TD will step from the shunt signal as normal, but not always.

That's odd. With dual address berths do you have to interpose into the "correct" berth for CSR set up to work? (eg Wimbledon, if that is actually a dual address berth and not two berths displayed as one)

On a simpler note, are there any sims in which two (shunt?) signals share a berth?

Not so: more than one signal can own a berth.

The berth is actually called "K244" in the data; the lack of interpose is a bug caused by the way that the loop sidings are implemented (don't ask).
