Does anyone know of a way I can host a session without having to open up ports on a router? :woohoo: I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in hotels bored with nothing to do in the evenings. I dont have access to the hotels router, and before you ask, I dont have a mobile broadband dongle either! Any ideas? NELL. Log in to reply |

No. If you're behind a router that uses Network Address Translation (eg you have many internal IPs sharing one external IP) then it's impossible. Log in to reply |

Of course you can Ben, Rent yourself a VPS (Virtual Private Server)* and host from there. *This may be against them terms & conditions, always read the label. I'd not technically class that has him hosting... also you could perhaps use a VPN via the VPS to allow incoming connections, that might be a plausible idea...
