I read through the [summary] McNulty report over lunch yesterday and today- quite interesting. Seems to accords with things that Roger Ford has written over the years about the ever escallating costs of doing a simple job of say painting a line on a platform.- the boiling frogs as he calls it.

The last paragraph is:

Quote:
For in-depth analysis of the UK rail industry subscribe to Rail Business Intelligence, the incisive and analytical newsletter which has been reporting on the transformation of Britain's railways since privatisation.

Rail Business Intelligence is a fortnightly bulletin, and a year's subscription is £670 - that's £25.77 per issue. Quite amusing, considering the article is about cost cutting in the industry.
