(I think that's the right LNER code). I had a decidedly worrying problem today on the Edinburgh sim - 7B02 came out of Leith Docks several hours early, so I sent it to Millerhill. It proceded straight through the yard (generating a "Millerhill was not informed" error), and emerged heading towards London on the _down_ line, straight into the path of 1S19. The situation is recoverable (I had to use the E button on the Prestonpans down signal in anger), but it's not the sort of thing that should happen. Screenshots and saved games are available if that would help. Log in to reply |

I do believe that this is a known bug - trains not due ("booked"via Millerhill that are diverted via Millerhill come out wrong line ('bang road'). I think it is something to do with the "internal points" (points within the Millerhill area, so out of your control). Hope this helps. Following up on my previous post, just done a site search and found the following; - Post #35 & Post #36 - This thread. And also recall this too - Known Issues and version control And finally... According to 'my source', 2-5-5 is "Train or vehicles running away in wrong direction or on single line"...so I'm not sure if the code you've used counts as surely it is not running away as there is a locomotive and driver at the front hauling the train? Surely as it is 'running away' on the Down Line contrary to regulations, (e.g. no bi-directional signalling at that location) then the presence of a locomotive and/or driver at the front of the train is irrelevant?

"running away" is basically terminology for a train proceeding without permission. 4-5-5 and 2-5-5 simply distinguish between which line it is running away on so to speak. in this case 2-5-5 would apply as a train is proceeding without authority ie running away. on the wrong line. two points though 1. millerhill would send 2-5-5 not edingburgh which would send 6 bells (train in section without authority constitutes a blockage) 2. 2-5-5 wouldnt apply becuase this is a TCB area not AB "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |
