Have perused the forum and the notes but can't find anything relevant so this may or may not have been mentioned already. Grimsby Marsh Jn reversing signal is M34 however on the location codes it is MJ34. Consequently getting wrong route etc. etc. Thought I'd just mention it but not serious as abandoning timetable will suffice for the time being. The wrong routing and route checking has been sorted for the next release, but not the different signal number. I will add this to the list of bugs to look at. Thanks. God bless, Daniel Wilson Last edited: 25/04/2012 at 17:42 by onlydjw Log in to reply |

The fact that the signal says M34 and the text in the TT editor isn't a major issue as both locations use a TILOC. As a result there should not be any need to abandon TT. I have just run a test from Grimsby Town to Marsh Jn sidings without any problems with it reversing there and no need to abandon the timetable. Can youn give us some spefics of the train that needed it's TT abandoned and what routes you had set please. Noisynoel Log in to reply |

I can confirm the name is wrong. However, this has no affect what so ever on the location function as the name is just that.....a name. That's what shows up in the TT list. If you are getting incorrect routes then that is nothing to do with the incorrect name as the location checking for wrong routes is done using the locations internal ID, not the name. Can you provide more details on exactly what you were trying? That may help diagnose the problem. Log in to reply |

Service 0J18 thows up 'incorrect route' at sig M2 However I have just noticed that on your signal number plans for the manual (1980) you have this signal designated as M4 Steve Last edited: 26/04/2012 at 13:44 by Quizman Log in to reply |

The signal in question is numbered M2, as per the diagram http://www.lymmobservatory.net/railways/sbdiagrams/marsh_junction_q30.jpg As you suggest, the sim has this correctly numbered, and thus that part is incorrect only on the signal numbers diagram (lever 4 is the starting signal at Great Coates station), lever 2 is the home signal at Marsh Jn itself. Of note, M32 and M32A should be numbered M35 and M35A as well - both correct in the sim (I think in 2.218.76 as well). The train not accepting any routes at signal M2 is still an issue currently. This is porbably because most of the time has been spent sorting out Modern Mode, for which information is much easier to obtain - to make 80's mode correct will require a number of modifications from that in the original release - mainly surrounding the de-rationalisation of certain parts of the sim. This issue is on the list of items to fix when 80's mode is looked at. God bless, Daniel Wilson Log in to reply |

Appologies for the errors in the Number Plans, those are my fault. I'll upload a corrected version soon (probably this weekend).

Also, what was the routing you actually used, can you go through it step by step from the location prior to the issue. the more detailed info we get the more chance of recreating the fault and thus solving the problem.I can confirm the name is wrong. Timetable is a new one I've developed which I'm testing (1977 era) so you will not have the timings but I can send it to you if you really want though still work in progress. There are a number of work-arounds which I have included in the description which makes things work for release. I understand that you want to get the modern era re-released first so there's no problem. If you just want to re-enact the specific Marsh Jcn problem use the timings shown in the JPEG in my earlier post. Steve Last edited: 26/04/2012 at 19:37 by Quizman Log in to reply |

If that makes you mad, what do Chris and the rest of the team behind the scenes classify as?
