Last I heard Three Bridges was to control at least the southern end of the ECML as part of the Thameslink core area strategy. Mind you the linked article says "London" rather than "King's Cross" so it could well still be the case.

Geoff, that's what I last heard. King's Cross and West Hampstead were both moving into the new control centre at Three Bridges so that all of Thameslink could be in one building. But with such a long time to go until it all happens, there will probably be a change of mind somewhere along the way

i heard this also, with a boundary change along the lines of hitchin - cross covered by Three bridges
