Hi all, couple of train queries. 1T15 is at Cambridge waiting for joining train 5T15 which should enter at 06.29. 3R67 is at Royston waiting for 2C67 to join, which should depart Cambridge 06.26. Neither train has appeared as per the train list on F4. Could this need a bit of timetable editing, if so, would be grateful if someone could talk me through any t/t changes required. I'm using the timetable which loaded with the sim. Other than these, am enjoying the 'feel' of this sim. Many thanks, Mal. Log in to reply |

Not sure off the top of my head, but could be if you have another train waiting to enter at Cambridge carriage sidings 3-5, it will prevent any other trains entering there (bottle/cork etc).

Hi Andy, you have a point there I think. Sim time is 06.42 and Trains List on F2 shows following entry - '5E52-1 stopped at Camb Carr sdgs 3-5. To work 12.35 CAMDCS-HORNSYMD'. Could this be causing the 'blockage' and is there a way to move it to get the required trains out? EDIT.. Just checked the entry list on F2 and looking at the time order of entry your idea seems to bear out. Wonder why no msg came up to draw my attention to the fact that the affected trains could not enter sim from Carr Sdgs? Log in to reply |

The manual does warn you that you should only send trains into 3-5 if they are exiting the sim. You need to tell 5E52-1 to abandon its timetable, reverse it if it's facing Down, shunt forward out of the siding, then reverse it again into another siding. Then re-establish the timetable. Why no message? Because the sim is too old for the requisite features to be available. Log in to reply |

Had a proper look now.. When 5C04 arrives at the carriage sidings, it needs to berth in line 1 or 2 and it forms 5E52-1 to depart at 1235. If it's any consolation, I made the very same mistake when I first started testing this for Clive, so join my club - tee-shirt in the post! I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. After I posted I began to wonder if 5E52-1 could be the cause. Gives self smack on hand for not reading it up. I'll try the suggested remedy. I was going great guns til my booboo as well. Playing this in the past week, I've had a problem with the 3-5 Sidings at Cambridge in that two trains have entered from there numerous hours early. The 12:35 service mentioned is the first one. I ended up abandoning the TT and them routing it to one of the goods sidings on the left of the area before reversing the train to the smaller sidings between the 3-5 Sidings and the diesel depot. I then re-run the original TT and the train waits there till its' scheduled departure time from the Cambridge Sidings. " said: Had a proper look now.. Not sure if this is the solution (I think it is) but I'll try to test it out in the morning. Nil. Last edited: 06/04/2012 at 13:21 by Aurora Log in to reply |
