This should help TT authors!

The entire WTT has been published by NR:

I wonder if this means those websites like Open Train Times will be able to publish freight times?

I'm more curious about FreightMaster - this essentially removes the vast majority of the business model (though the WTT gives no indication as to how often Q workings run or anything special)

FOIA possibly, even if it's questionable whether it actually applies. Sometimes it's easier to "just do it" than argue the case against it, or deal with the volume of requests, if there is no real harm in publishing it.

Freightmaster is good as a filter- it's a lot easier to flick through a few pages for a summary at various locations than wade through the whole TT. Plus the printed version is better on the platform end and has photo tips.

And if you have finished reading the WTTs, you can download the Sectional Appendices as well!

There were rumours some time ago that the Government were intending to make any organisation that receives large amounts of taxpayers money subject to the Freedom of Information Act.

wow! That is very useful!

I've noticed there is only one Freight WTT for the Kent region or something (that's the only one I stumbled across), nothing for the Western Region so I'm surprised there is at least only one freight WTT, either case then FreighMaster wouldn't have anything to worry about really...?

theres a full freight WTT for LNE on there, so may be an oversight by the uploader in regards to WR and SR

I had that problem y10g9. You just have to keep trying to get on to the page[s] It may be that all the railway fans out there have heard the word and are trying to access the site ! What I did once I was on was to save the info that I wanted. That way I do not have to keep trying to access the web pages.

I get into it no problem. The freight WTTs are also listed on the site.
Section LD - is the freight WTT for Anglia Region
Section YH - freight WTT for the Eastern Region
Sections CY & CZ - freight WTTs for the London Midland Region
Section GF - freight WTT for the Scottish Region
Section PF - freight WTT for the Western Region
Section WK - freight WTT for the Southern Region.
So it's pretty much all covered.

I had problems getting in (page just timed out) but I used the site's search facility and searched for the index page for each section (e.g. "gf00.pdf" for the Scottish freight index) the pages then load quicker or you can right click and save straight to hard drive. From the index pdf you can see how many files are in each section and follow the same procedure for each file.

I it's passenger you're after, it's easier to search Open Train Time. On the home page, go to the top right>options>detailed. Then either type a location in or click search at the top left to search for an identity. The data on there, as far as I know, is identical to that of the WTT.

Thank you very much 58050, I overlooked section PF as I thought Freight might come under section PA too for the relevant area. I didn't know they are separated, thanks again :)

I've just started on a KX WTT now, could not help it! I note it seems to be confusing, such as some dated services in YA01 and YA02 do not match at all! One can leave KX on a MX service, and after Welwyn, it's MO!

Also, what are the timing loads about? For instance 5P00 is a Class 317 timing load, and it's next service 2P00 is a Class 365...I guess it means it's timed for any of the two maybe?

One other thing, the Cricklewood and Bedford to/from Hornsey are listed as 313 (timing load), but I would assume these are the Class 319s that go there, as 319 is not on the timing load list. I can't see why a 313 would go up there as I know 319s to visit Hornsey, but as ever I am happy to be corrected!

they tend to be timed on the most restrictive stock that would use. for instance, all services on the harrogate loop are timed to cl. 142 timings, however its normally a 150, 155 or occasionally a 156. equally all hope valley services are timed as 142 although its split between 150s and 142s

Ahh thank you for that, thought it might be that rather than booked diagrams, of course I suspect 365s/321s and 317s could be off diagram now and again anyway

Just been looking at the forthcoming WTT (Dec 2012-May 2013).

This link:
http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse%20documents/timetables/working%20timetable%20%28wtt%29/december%202012%20-%20may%202013/yh/yh00.pdf

might be useful for those confused by the differing formats of timing loads for freight. I must admit I was a bit perplexed by 40-TR40 etc until I saw this !

Timing load descriptions are on page 6.
