Hiya, sorry if this has been asked before....but. Im playing the excellent Trent Sim, but Im having problems with getting the route release for the Robin Hood line from Kirby Lane Junction to Newstead. Ive requested the slot at 0100hrs as Ive had problems with trains being stuck on the main, its now 0400hrs and the slot still hasnt been released. Im I thinking to 'real life' when I assume the Bobby who controls this section doesnt book on duty until 0600hrs or something and this is modelled in the sim, so the release isnt given until a set time ? Also a similar thing with getting route release for the North Sidings at Toton, I phone the Groundstaff, they allocate a road and say request slot but it takes ages for the release to be given? Hi again, Sorry. Scrub the second question about Toton North Yard. Ive worked it out just takes a long time for the Groundstaff to release route. The first question still stands though. Regards Log in to reply |

You have to release it yourself in single player mode - click once to start it flashing and then click it again to release the route. It's mainly a multiplayer option which is why there is an option to disable it when starting the sim.

To get the slot from Kirby Lane to Newstead, click on the slot button nearest Newstead and it will flash - this simulates Kirby Summit requesting slot. Then click it again and it will go solid - this simulates Robin Hood giving slot. In multiplay the person allocated each panel would make these actions individually on their panel.
