It's a shame the article didn't go into why it was so difficult to move the engines (or at least one of them). Last month's TRAINS magazine (US) had a short story describing how the museum in which it was housed was pretty much built around the engine. There was some creative dismantling of both building and engine to make enough room to slide it out past the other exhibits which were equally large (well, most likely larger).

Let's hope that when the two A4's return accross the Atlantic that they are somewhat better looked after than it appears they have been. The photographs in the present issue of Railway Magazine show a certain amount of neglect to both locomotives internally which I am sure you would never see in our own National Railway Museum. In particular, the condition of "Dominion Of Canada" was extremely disappointing.
