" said:looking at this photo it seems that wrawbys Home signal(s) on the lincoln line wouldnt allow for free acceptance of a train from Holton-le-moor? does your SBD for wrawby show an acceptance home further out? "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

Without looking I can't answer that Joe, but wouldn't really make any difference as I've been in the box when my mate has accepted a reain from Holton Le Moor onto the Main & one from Appleby down the slow. IIRC it was an empty oil train from Holton Le Moor & an empty MGR train from Scunthorpe CHP. The train from Appleby passsed Wrawby Jn first & it was Barnetby East who decided who had the run to Brocklesby first.

In response to your quiery Joe, I've looked at both signalling diagrams I've got for Wrawby Junction. The 1990 shows a 2 aspect coloured light distant signal No.13, followed by a semaphore home signal No.14 & then the junction bracket signal you are refering to on the Up Lincoln. The 1962 signalling diagram shows the next block post on the Lincoln line as Howsham, not Holton Le Moor as per the 1990 diagram. Again the signals are the same as the 1990 diagram, 2 aspect distant No.13, followed by a semaphore home signal No.14 & then the junction bracket signal protecting the junction. I hope this clarifies what you were asking.
