Not the first time they have been in trouble for cancelling too many trains due to not having enough drivers.

Hmm...
I was in the Birmingham area this afternoon and there were one or two cancellations on the Snow Hill lines so this looks like an ongoing problem.

I cannot say I miss having to travel with London Midland regularly, nor their predecessors who were probably slightly worse.

London Midland were penalised in 2009 following the cancelation of Sunday services. This was due to a dispute with drivers over Sunday working (Sundays were additional to the normal roster).

I believe Central Trains was the main predecessor to LM. I remember talking to the Worcester Drivers when they still worked over the North Cotswolds to Oxford and they weren't exactly full of compliments about that company
