Rhoose Cardiff International Airport
Sam,

Not the answer to 2, but you have answered 1. correctly. Like Peter, I had Manchester United Football Ground (30 characters) as the listing I saw had Cardiff International Airport in brackets, but National Rail and the station sign give the full 33 character name without brackets.

20: Duty-free shop on underground station

Friedrichstrasse U-Bahn station in East Berlin prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was on a transit line between the northern and southern regions of West Berlin and had a Mitropa duty-free shop for Westerners with hard currency.

Mike
Mike,

Correct, an errie experience. Allegedly there were customs checks during the 30 second stop at the first staions back into West Berlin.

3. Which stations have the same number of platforms as letters in their name? (five)

Brighton
Sheffield
Carlisle
Woking
Ely
(distinct SimSig slant there!)

Plus, depending on whether 'London' is valid:
London St Pancras

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

11. When the Undeground was first built it (sub-surface) was connected to the Main rail network so I guess there could have been trains to virtually anywhere. I have seen references to Paddington to Brighton via Farringdon trains.

Also if that's not what you had in mind I think the Met ran out further towards Aylesbury at one time.

10. If you see a train with the designation shown as “BEHA”, where is it going to and where has it come from?
It is going to Bondy, from Aulnay? (In Paris)

or it might be La Defense on RER A
Is this correct? :S

All correct, you've found a few that I missed. That platform 2c at sheffield is sneaky. 'London' is valid in St Pancras, but so is 'International'

Peter,

Nice try. This place is definately further than Aylesbury. The sign was put up this century.
