Clicking on a sim name on the Front page brings up a 404 error.

Yes quite agree Barry.

Saw the posting when I went home for lunch. Now sat in the office wanting to get my hands on them. The office firewall will not allow it though. Having waited so long since looking at and sampling NorthEast Scotland at the Peterborough meet which seems so long ago now I guess another few hours won't hurt.

Thanks. Guess it would help if I publish the four subpages as well as the main page itself! I did test it but whilst logged in, which overrode the publish status.

Is that common for your firewall? It uses a different method from the normal downloads so I'd be concerned if a common firewall setup blocked this kind of download.

Sorry Geoff I may have mislead you there. Yes I have managed to download the license but obvioulsy the contractors server system won't let me do anything else. These Koreans can text away to their hearts content and have all the 4G in the world for playing games on their phone during office hours but when it comes to a sneak look at NE Scotland I am stymied.
Which leads me to a question ready for when I get home. How do you download the simulation. Via the SimSig license or via the link on the home page.
Sorry if I appear a bit dumb.

Geoff

I'm absolutely confused as to how to grab these sims, I have downloaded the license manager but I can't find the sims and when I click the front page link and get a summary page and the Scotland shop section is completely empty.

I have now updated the front page news with instructions to email scotland@SimSig.co.uk if you have previously donated. I'll email the sims by reply - though I'm about to go to bed for the night!

In the Wiki, though two sims also come with Word documents.

If you have donated then see a couple of posts above. If you have not donated then then click on Shop -> Browse -> Simulations for Purchase -> then the sims (note Scotland multibuy at the end). There was something odd about the Simulations for Purchase link when I tried it just now but I think it's working.

Excellent I see that now, expect to make some money from me (or break even as I'm sure the case probably is).

Having an issue, Cowlairs and CES work without issue however but NEScot and Edin do not start giving an xmlrtl60.bpl error.

Apologies, xmlrtl60.bpl attached - place in your Program Files -> SimSig folder. I'll update the License manager download to include it.

EDIT - See later 07:31 reply

Somewhere above there was reference to the manual - the original Edinburgh and Cscot manual accidentally got packaged with the respective Sim (my fault). The more up to date one is on the Wiki for all - I need to link the Cowlairs one to the home page but it is there - I'm going to miss my train If I don't go now so will make sure it's all fixed later today.

Cowlairs was compiled without runtime libraries so it's odd that it would previously work and not now.

As for the rest, I've packaged all the reported BPLs used by the applications into the attached zip. Again, sorry for the problems.

Hey mistakes happen, but I like companies that come out humble and fix things quick.

There are some companies that want to censor things and get mad if you point something out (never SimSig), but I understand things happen especially if you do testing and you might miss out on something that the public doesn't have.

Hi - thanks for all the files and additional bits and bobs. I can now open the sims having downloaded them through the purchase confirmation link but my license manager is empty and therefore I don't seem to be able to run the sims once they are open.

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks!

Nick

No, it's just that I'm having to create the licenses manually at the moment - but I see you're already on the ball!

I may be going a bit mad here, but I have paid for the sims & downloaded the license manager (nice btw!), and still cant find the sims, probably me just being a bit dense but a push in the right direction would be great if anyone can help?
When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. Someone didn't buy the milk - 2A. Someone sneezed at Swansea - 2A. A driver complains the cab is too cold - 2A. Unable to operate a HEx service 4 vice 8 - 2A. Points failure at Ipswich - 2A. Landslip at Pitlochry - 2A

Hi Geoff

Have paid via Paypal & downloaded the license manager, and have all 4 sims within the LM, however I cannot download any of the sims to sample them, dont suppose you can poke me in the right direction, its just me being dense I suspect!

Cheers
