The following sequence occurred repeatably following a track circuit fault : 1. 08:48 Fault in overlap TC P138. Unable to release route P138 - P128. 2. 10:00 Authorised 6E69-A to pass P174 at danger 3. 10:02 P138 shunt indicator lit when the section of TC P133 in rear of the berth section was occupied 4. 10:02 P138 shunt indicator was extinguished when the berth section of TC P133 was occupied 5. 10:02 Message 6E69-A received an adverse change of aspect at signal P138 (shunt indicator extinguished) 6. 10:03 6E69-A arrived at Perth 16 min(s) late 7. 10:05 Authorised 6E69-A to examine the line and pass P138 at danger 8. 10:06 Train list shows 6E69-A "on telephone" 9. 10:06 6E69-A reports adverse change of aspect at signal P138 10. 10:08 6E69-A starts to move Items 3 and 4 are puzzling. With call-on logic, I think 4 should not have happened. With shunt logic, I think neither should have happened. Item 9 seems wrong. Why did the driver report the adverse change of aspect 4 minutes after it happened and after making another call to the signaller ? Log in to reply |
