According to the news, a cleaner "stole" a train last night and managed to drive it into someone's house. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21030211 Joy-riding perhaps? Log in to reply |

At least that BBC article doesn't make the mistake of the one here which refers to a "four-carriage engine", which seems to be an increasingly common error in the general media these days - any train is an 'engine'. [And that's accepting engine as being synonymous with locomotive, which is pretty much universal these days even though of course not true.] Last edited: 16/01/2013 at 09:48 by GoochyB Log in to reply |

" said:i noted this story earlier on a different news site and thought it was a spoof!! Certainly no spoof: The Grauniad has a rather good aerial photo showing a throughly wrecked train with the front end buried in a 3-storey apartment block. I got this link from another forum. http://www.nordpilen.se/forum/showthread.php?tid=2287 They were taken by a local railway worker. I hope you can read Sweden-ish! However, a picture paints 1,000 words and there are quite a few pictures! Last edited: 16/01/2013 at 23:47 by Signalhunter Log in to reply |

It's turned onto a bit of a tourist attraction now. The paper today said that they won't be able to remove the train till next week, so Stockholmers are going there to take pictures. There are suggestions now that it might have been an accident. Here is the report from The Local (in English). Log in to reply |
