I have recently switched from a computer using WindowsXP to a computer using Windows7.I am still trying to find my way around it.I have managed to download some simulations from the web site and install them and have now worked out how to play them by altering the resolutions on the computer.I am now trying to download a couple of different timetables but things are dfferent in appearance.Could anyone talk me through this in fairly easy to understand terms.Thanks.

Each sim has a folder, and within that folder is a sub-folder which contains the timetables. You must extract any new timetables into this folder.

For a sim called Ayton, the timetables would typically go in a folder called:
C:\Program Files\SimSig\Ayton
-or-
C:\Program Files(x86)\SimSig\Ayton

Could you explain in a bit more detail what you're trying to do?

I assume that you are trying to use a timetable downloaded from this site. To do so:

  • Download the file.

  • Open 'Computer'

  • There should be a bar down the left hand side that says 'Downloads'. Click this.

  • All of your downloads will be displayed. Open the .Zip folder you downloaded from the site, and select all the files contained in there (hold the ctrl key down to select multiple files).[/li]
  • Right click and select 'Copy'

  • Now return to 'Computer'. You need to navigate to your SimSig folder. If you've installed to the default location, you need to click 'C drive'>Program Files (x86)>SimSig. Then open the relevant simulation folder.

  • Right click in the folder and select 'paste'

  • Open the simulation, and the timetable should be displayed in the usual place. If it isn't, make sure the 'Use Public Documents' box is unticked in the F3 menu.
