Ran Swindid with auto-faults switched off. I dropped the overlap TC at Thingley Xovers. 1A08 was told to spad the signal in rear. That happened. I then ended up with a train at Chippenham and 10A8 at Thingley.

That's normal when you SPAD across a dead TC. The train moves, but the train description doesn't. You have to reinsert the description - in this case at Chippenham, and delete the one in the rear. The failed track circuit will show occupied because of the fault.
