You may have noticed the website has been down a few times recently. It turns out this is a memory problem of some sort that the hosts are looking into. Sometimes if the server falls over with data waiting to be written to the database, it can corrupt a database table (typically the "session" table which is pretty meaningless after a reboot anyway), which then has to be repaired. That's only a quick command but if you see a message about the session table, that's what it's about. As long as I'm near a PC and know about it I can get it fixed fairly quickly. Apologies for the inconvenience; hopefully normal service will be resumed ASAP. The wires were down (on the US West Coast), just like on the WCML recently.

Thanks everyone, I think! It seems there are just too many of you so I've ordered some shiny new cow hide and brass valves to increase the steam capacity of the system. Double the memory, double the processor power, higher bandwidth throughput. However, there'll be a brief outtage again today while they tan the leather - or install it. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Have you checked the lateral fluff grommets aren't fouling the dorsal steam gubbins relay, causing a backlog of too much clink on the stuffer-expander?
