I set the route for 2C98 to Down Main (as can be seen be the whiote route lights), the signal cleared but the points hadnt changed. I didnt notice until too late.

If its any help the overlap for 3S85 was on the up main before it dissapeared. Aloso, according to F2, 2C98 has run out of valid track

Is it a bug?

ive never had this problem. when i heard about this, opened SimSig southampton and made a tt for 2c98 and 3s85, again no problems! dunno what happened there.

Just a bit! you shouldnt get a proceed aspect if the route isnt locked and proven. i think ive had this one before ages ago.

Yes, I seem to recall that some weird happenings with those overlaps have been reported before.

I have just experienced this as well so the bug definitely exists - I set the route from UM (signal 716) to UF (708) after the overlap of a train on the DF (713) had timed out. Then the train from DS (711) to DM (719), just passing over the points, ran out of valid track.
It looks like the points were set to swing the overlap, even though the overlap had timed out.
