Just something i started wondering about... if a train seeds at a signal, would it be able to join there?

Probably not directly. If you want to seed so that the train is put into a station platform and then joins, you can work round the problem.

  1. Create the TT for the train with the seed Entry Point as the required signal (presumably at the station platform).

  2. Make the first location in the TT list the last location the train would have passed had it been arriving into the platform, with a time of 00/00.

  3. Then make the second location the relevant station/platform and add the J activity.

If you watch the train in F2 as the sim opens you will see it shown as moving for a few seconds then stopping with the right station location and ready for any TT'd activities.

You can see the process in reverse (train seeding then splitting) in a paidware sim if you look at the 0445 start 2006 TT for CScot.

No you an only have activities at Key locations - Key locations are hard coded into the Sim and as a general rule will be every timetable location other than stations in the middle of nowhere on plain line.

i suppose it would take forever to add a timing location for each signal!
