Hello all, For the first time on this fresh copy of Windows 7 (Since I reformatted) I've needed to use the TT Analyse option on Brighton for Keymer Junction. Usually by pressing this, a .txt file appears in the SimSig directory and has a list of all the locations and the times each train passes there providing you've entered the location and time in the TT. However, there was no file in there nor in the Brighton folder. I tried the arr/dep button in F4 Tools 2 tab instead but still nothing appeared. I tried the Westbury sim and loaded the default TT, as I know a analyses .txt file appears as it has done before, however this time there is no .txt file anywhere. I'm unsure if it's putting it in some bizarre location where I won't find it, but I don't remember having to do anything before. I have permissions set in the security tab for the SimSig folder (and the folders inside it) and on Brighton I have 'Use Public Folders' checked. I can't understand why it's not doing anything  Any ideas please? It would be gratefully appreciated Log in to reply |

To get it to go into Program Files\SimSig, you need to untick the box. "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now." Ah it was the other way round. I have unchecked the box and clicked on 'TT Analyse' again, and still there is no .txt file in the SimSig folder. I went to the Public Documents folder just in case and there was nothing there either. Having tried the Arrival/Departure tool again, there is still no 'arrdep.txt' in any of the folders either, how strange! Log in to reply |

Thanks Postal, didn't think of a C drive search! It was tucked away in C:/Users/(My PC)/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/SimSig. The Default TT, TT Analysis and the Arrival/Departure files were there. I've deleted them and now they appear in C:/Program Files (x86}/SimSig where they belong. Thank you guys for the responses and the help Log in to reply |

Assuming your Windows 7 has UAC enabled (which it is by default), then any files and folders that fall within the Programs Files folder are essentially write protected. This is to prevent malicious programs such as viruses from altering your executable files. Unfortunately, this same protection also prevents non-malicious programs such as SimSig from also writing to those locations. In your case using public folders is the best option but where the file actually goes unfortunately I can't tell you as I don't have the sim at hand but it will be somewhere under C:\Users\Public\ I imagine.
