I'm sure I don't really need to provide any explanation for this YouTube video (the original version....). The video title translates as "Careful, do not close the door!". The info below the video translates as "Extreme sports in the metro St. Petersburg". First came across this video because of this news article on Yahoo! News. I certainly would think twice about pulling the chord because if the doors close or whatever during the time you have pulled the chord and the guard arrives or if the guard thinks there was soneother better approach to it then you would be in for a hefty fine...

On the other hand I tried the new "Routemaster" bus today, was quite impressed save that the jobsworth "conductor" was stopping people getting on/off the platform unless at a stop - kind of defeats the object! Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

I was reading about the new buses just last weekend and I read this from the TfL website: Quote: Watch your step That infers (at least to me) that you can get on or off anywhere, so I think your conductor was more than a jobsworth!
