I don't understand seed services and couldn't write a timetable but I love operating the sims. I have just purchased Marylebone but I am at a loss at how to deal with/dispose of the seeded services already in - for example - in the sidings at Aylesbury. I just can't get the sim rolling. Can anyone help to get me started or point me to the appropriate manual or FAQ please? Thank you Log in to reply |

We're going to need a bit more information. Do you mean you have signalled trains from the sidings but they are not departing? If so, look at their status in the F2 menu. If their status is "At Buffer Stops" then it is a timetable glitch with the non-combined tiemtables affecting trains at Aylesbury Sidings and Marylebone which will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime, you can either start again with one of the combined timetables, or you will need to update each of the trains location to Aylesbury Sidings / London Marylebone then briefly reverse each of the trains so that they start to depart, then reverse them again back towards the buffers at which point their status should change to "Stopped at Aylesbury Sidings / Marylebone". Basically I can't work out how and when to deal with the seed services (5Zxx) already in Aylesbury carriage sidings. Do I simply interpose the new headcode asap or do I wait until the booked departure time? How, then, do I ensure that units are in the correct order when these units' position have been determined by the computer

With the seed trains in Aylesbury Sidings you don't need to do anything as they are automatically in their correct sidings and the headcodes should already be described in the box adjacent to siding 6. You just need to signal the trains out at the correct time.
