I've started a simulation with full LUL coverage but despite the wiki making reference to the LUL area having ARS I cannot make any train ARS. I'm running the sim in 2013 mode with Combined v5.2 timetable starting at 0400. Any help would be appreciated. Phil. Log in to reply |

When you started the sim, did you choose "Simsig Standard" or "Simsig Easy"? I'm not sure if Standard has ARS or not. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a definitive answer. Log in to reply |

I tried using 'IECC' and 'Standard Simsig', trains couldn't be made ARS in either mode.

Can you see the pink ARS subarea controls in the sim? Certainly when starting a sim in IECC mode ARS should be enabled as default. Last edited: 19/07/2013 at 18:53 by John Log in to reply |

Well, aside from right-clicking on each train and selecting "Make Train ARS", I'm at a loss.

Phil, I think uploading the saved gamed here may be of use. We can then actually open it our selfs to identify the issue Noisynoel Log in to reply |

John, I am right-clicking on each train, and each time I get the response "[train headcode] cannot be made ARS". Ok Noel. Here's the saved game. Well, having looked at your saved game I'm still at a loss to explain the problems you're having. When I opened the game the time is 04.02 and all ARS sub areas are enabled. The only moving train in the area is 6M96 approaching Aynho Junction. When 6M96 got to Aynho ARS set the route as expected. 4O12 then entered and again ARS set the route as expected. I've just loaded the save and all of the trains are showing up as already being in ARS mode. (IE green, yellow, red, blue headcodes; rather than grey.) If I right click and try and make a train ARS it says ABDC made ARS. "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply |

In F3 Options under ARS have you got "Other" checked under "Auto Routesetting and ACI for:"? LUL trains are classed as "Other" as far as I can work out.

John, as the thread title implies the ARS issue was on the LUL lines, not at Banbury. NCC1701, that's what I'd missed. I've just checked the 'Other' box in ARS and problem solved. All trains in Rickmansworth Sidings and Watford station have become ARS. Many thanks for your help. Phil.
