I don't know if any of you will know this but I was told that there was a bridge over the ECML at the summit of stoke bank nicknamed hallelujah bridge from the old steam days. I was told this is the case as crew members shouted out said words at the bridge as they were now on a downhill stretch into Grantham. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and if so which bridge this would be, and if possible if anyone knows the miles and chains of it.

Thanks in advance

The summit is about 100m 3ch, itself roughly 23ch from the point ends of the 4-track section. However, the only bridge I can spot on Google Earth is one before the summit, BR230 at 99m 60ch roughly. This looks like a farm crossing.

There is no bridge at the summit itself but there is a large brick bridge (probably the one Geoff mentioned) on the up side.

Is that the tall red brick bridge that's situated roughly at the end of the third line (i.e. where the down slow finishes)?

Hallelujah bridge is still standing and is made of brick. It is on the South-side of Stoke tunnel, 4 miles South of Grantham, 100 miles from KC.

This is the bridge as taken from an EC train from KC to Leeds on the DS, just before Stoke Tunnel.
