Can anyone help me with finding the notes regarding cleaning a timetable for older sims which don't have the feature built into the sim, or where the in built cleaner didn't work. I remember it uses Convdata, but I can't remember which options/selections I have to make/not make.

Thanks.

I'm speaking from long-gone memory but I think you use Convdata to convert to text without the option to save "additional information" then convert back to SimSig format. If you save back to a different file name you haven't lost anything if I'm leading you down the wrong track.

My issue was that I couldn't find anything to tell me how to initiate Convdata, and it took me ages to realise that there are two places you can import and export - one in the timetable editor, and one in the sim menus - the latter one which I needed.

There doesn't appear to be much for this on the wiki, although newer sims have this inbuilt, there are still many older sims which don't!

Convdata is a program designed and built by Clive Feather........... Full instructions on how to use it can be found on the web-site, with the User Manual available at http://www.davros.org/rail/SimSig/convdata.html. .............not just a TT applicable to the live sim.

Correct Karl, but I couldn't find anywhere where it actually told us normal people in English rather than computer speak about where it had to be put, and how to get SimSig to access Convdata in early sims.

You can use any sim with the convdata interface to convert any timetable, not just ones for the open Sim.

This page explains where to stick it and this how to cleanse TTs
