Hello,

I've seen many signal types in SimSig and I'd like to ask if some unusual combinations exist.

1. automatic 2-aspect signal
2. any automatic signal in a station

Do these exist on track?

1: yes, definitely. Between Westbury and Bathampton Jn for example.
2: I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but you definitely can have automatic signals near or in stations if there's no pointwork.

There are plenty of automatic 2-aspect signals (off the top of my head, Bristol and Westbury contain them, as do other simulations).

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'in' a station. Some small stations which don't have points outside them have automatic signals at the end of the platform, however any signals halfway along a platform will be controlled signals.

EDIT: Forest Pines posted while I was typing.

As you're probably gathering both 2 aspect autos and autos in station areas are very common.

Generally speaking SimSig exactly replicates the real world, so wherever you see something on SimSig it's usually how it is on the track. There are a few exceptions where developers have used some artistic licence, but only a few.
