Following having to call off development of the Exeter TT, is there any sim for which anyone would like another TT?
Note: Must be freeware.
Please reply to this post with suggestions though PMs are also welcome.

***EDIT:***
I am unsure where to find old WTTs so if someone could help me that would be appreciated, alternatively, a current TT would be fine

***EDIT:***
I will give until next saturday (7th September) for suggestions, then will do a vote on which one to do.

Why did you have to call off the Exeter one? I ask because if it's a Sim issue then I can look into it.

Given someone's responded to your query about where to get a WTT with the offer of a WTT I'd suggest that's your best bet regardless of voting.

I'd suggest a 1970's TT may be a little tricky on the release version of South Humberside, given the limitations of the Scunthorpe area particularly.

Peter, it was not a Sim issue, it was simply a case of I did not have the time, nor the WTT to do so, and my only source of information only has the data for the next two weeks, which is simply not enough time to input and test ~300 trains due to work constraints, sorry. :(
also, Jem771 has still not responded with WSR WTTs even after three weeks, so I simply do not have the time or data for it, so sorry guys. :(
Peter, I will see what else comes up in the next week then make a decision. But thanks for checking anyway.

Out of interest, what source were you using? If it's present day, passenger times can be found on Open Train Times, which keeps passenger data for several months (Special/freight traffic may disappear earlier), and Network Rail have released the full WTT for freight. Passenger is also in there, but personally I prefer to use OTT because the layout is clearer.

I think I had the CWN for either 2005 or 2006 but I think I only had public timetables (where Southern started splitting into 20 categories) rather than WTT so was making it fairly difficult to work out dwells etc with most showing either arr or dep but not both. Especially for the old Brighton Watford that seemed to almost have more time dwelling than it did moving!

Underwood was writing a 2005 timetable for Brighton. I'm not sure whether he abandoned the project, but it's all gone quiet.

Along with Marylebone I've started Saltley too, generally I work on two side by side for a change of scenery between them. The 2013 one I have in mind goes on beyond 1 day though..

Of course some artistic license is needed for 2013 too, as Chiltern now also use the bay platforms at Moor Street for terminators, which isn't in SimSig as it's a new layout

John - Correct about Brighton 2005, I was halfway through testing it, most of it probably works I may as well release it and await bugs from others might be an idea. Problem is of course it only works with the old brighton, I guess I've got to re-do the lot to make it work with the updated one?

The current WTT can be found here. Personally, I prefer to use Open Train Times for passenger services- the information is the same, but I prefer the presentation of OTT. However, I prefer the WTT for freight. It's also the only place you can get the actual headcodes- any headcodes shown on OTT, Real Time Trains etc. are not the proper headcodes for freight trains.

The following books apply to freight traffic in the Saltley area:

CY09

CY11

PF08

Been wondering lately how a timetable for Trent to cover the recent alteration / platform works/changes at Nottingham would be? Is the service any different at all, or would such a timetable even possible?
Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

Everything was shown in the relevant WTTs (though it had to be further revised to make it work!), and it would be fairly interesting, I think. You might come unstuck with the old layout at Trent East though, and nowadays a lot of passenger trains are booked to cross to/from the slows at Trent South rather than Ratcliffe. It's the layout at Beeston that'd cause you the most problems though, I think - the new layout there was commissioned at the start of the blockade, and the turnbacks there relied on the new layout.

Is anyone working on a steam era TT for Brighton. As far as I'm aware there weren't too many differences (bar the goods yards at small stations closing - but im sure someone can do something about that). I would do it myself but I don't have the time, skills or patience needed, let alone the sources!

If somebody wanted to do a steam era Brighton this would present an interesting challange as both platforms 9 & 10 are missing plus at least one extra siding between platforms 2 and 3 which was used for gaining access to the loco depot. Also missing is the down local between Preston Park and Brighton. I have been toying with the idea of doing a 1982 timetable and even with that I will struggle during the peak hours with the missing platform 9. However if anyone produced a steam era timetable I would certainly enjoy the challenge of running this.
