A full WTT for Central Scotland in 2013. Passenger/ECS movements are based on the timetable for 31.07.2013, freight movements are taken from the May- December WTT. The TT should be run in 'Post SAK' mode. The timetable also includes a possession between Gartcosh Jn and Greenhill Lower Jn from around 20:00. This happened in real life, and was probably related to the forthcoming electrification of the line. Passenger trains terminated at Gartcosh, and freight services were diverted via Gartcosh, Springburn and Greenhill Upper.

Please note: This timetable is not (currently) compatible with my NEScot 2013 TT. I intend to make them compatible in the future, as well as releasing this TT for the Cowlairs simulation.

Passenger times have been taken from Open Train Times, freight times from the WTT published on Network Rail's website. Rolling Stock diagrams (i.e. what train forms what) have been made up, as have a couple of ECS movements between Glasgow and Eastfield. Also, a few trains will set off the 'Overlength Train' alarm- however, they will fit if authorised past the signal (and everything else is running to plan).

Passenger Services

ScotRail operate almost all the passenger services in the area. This consists of:

4tph Glasgow- Edinburgh
2tph Glasgow- Cumbernauld (with 1 tph extended to Falkirk)
2tph Glasgow- Anniesland
2tph Edinburgh- Dunblane
2tph Dalmuir- Springburn (via Belgrove Jn)
1tph Glasgow- Stirling (extended every 2 hours to Dunblane)
1tph Glasgow- Alloa
1tph Glasgow- Aberdeen

There are additional trains in the peaks, and additional trains throughout the day to and from Inverness/Dundee. Two portions of the 'Highland Sleeper' pass through the area- the Fort William portion and the Inverness portion. These trains divide/join at Edinburgh before continuing to London.

East Coast operate one train per day between King's Cross and Inverness.

Freight

At the start of the timetable, a light engine will seed at CE313. In it's description, it will say which day's WTT the freight traffic will run to.This, combined with quite a few 'Q' trains, means that the timetable should be different each time you play it.

Freight traffic consists of containers and oil to and from Grangemouth, and a coal train every two hours to and from Longannet.

If you encounter any bugs, or have problems/questions, please post them below.

Enjoy!

Are you definitely using the 2013 TT? I only ask because I've just checked and it produced 0 Errors and 517 warnings (most of which are "Final location must not have a departure time specified").

Can anyone else reproduce the 1B01-S error message?

Think I've spotted the problem. Are you using the latest (payware) version of CScot? Looking at that analysis, it appears that it doesn't recognise 'seed' trains.

The TT contains seed trains (trains that are in the middle of the area at the start of the simulation). This feature was only introduced on the payware version, so the free simulation doesn't understand what the trains are. I'll make another version which doesn't use seed trains.

I've included a Special in the TT, so I'd rather not add another. There's nothing to stop you adding it to your copy though.

It's because I used the Westerton location instead of the Westerton entry point, because 1B01-S is a seed train.

Yes, however the TT as it is will not work properly on the free version- the trains that seed in the simulation area will remain in the area for most of the day, or join other services. I'll release a version which will work properly with the free simulation.

V1.1 submitted to download area, awaiting moderator approval. This contains a version which should be compatible with the free version of the simulation. Other than that, nothing has changed.

I tried to do a screen shot but everything was frozen , the box said something along the line o a bug report violation. I shut everything down with task manager and started again. I am using the paid sim. If it happens again I will see if I can get a screen shot. Cheers Iain

First, thank you for this nice WTT!

Second: I noticed an allocation problem at GLQ:
2N40-1 9:23 Stirling GLQ arr. at GLQ 1003 has to join 1R59 915 EDB-GLQ at plt. 3. But this will cause the overlength warning.
Train 2N40-1 is 92m (2 class 170) after dividing from 2J54 at plt. 3, train 1R59 is 46m (1 class 170). That is too much for platform 3.

Greetings!

Unfortunately, that sequence of activities is the only way I could get the TT to work. The overlength train alarm goes off, but if you authorise 1R59 to pass the signal at danger it will just about fit in the platform. Three class 158s (not 170s) gives a total length of 138m, the platform will accommodate 140m.

Might be because if there's a split first, the 2 parts move apart 2-3m after splitting.

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, the first splitting is the problem. But as Steamer said, you can work it around.

Anyway, thank you again for this great work, Steamer!

I've come across a couple of oddities.when the TT is started , 5R09 is seeded in Queen Street tunnel but is waiting at CQ251 and the route is locked in the wrong direction. Also 1R06 is also in the tunnel but it looks like it should be seeded in Plt 6.

In addition each train I've sent to Longannet, so far 6G11 & 6G12 (despite phone calls to Longannet box) both pop up as incorrectly routed at SK6543.Then you get the option to cancel route or send down freight line.Which I do.Then Longannet send a message saying train not expected.

Just had 4J01 from Longannet saying train incorrectly routed at SK6558 which is the entry signal !

Also found on the 2006 TT that the seeded trains do not move through the timetable.
