I dont really play this very often (SimSig) but when i do its normally as a host... but i thought i would give Wem. sub a go as i know its one player... so it was going well for the first few hours, then i forgot about a train and it left a station 5 minutes late, another train scheuled to leave 2 minutes after was theirfore 7 minutes late leaving, and 5 hours later all my trains are still between 3 and 7 minutes late, which is having a really bad effect on my score (not that i am bothered).... IN real Life what would a signaller do to ensure trains get back on time.... in this game how would ppl get the trains back on time ???

As the manual says, even in real life they can't keep to time on this area.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: kieron.young2k13 |

In reality it's not up to the signallers per se to get trains back on time - that's the job of the Train Service Controller. There will be a variety of options available, turning trains short and skipping various stations in order to recover the time are two, HOWEVER they also need to consider whether the driver will be relieved at the terminus, whether the station has had many other cancellations during this disruption. Generally, in the situation you describe with minor delays to ALL trains there is very little that can be done. You could get one or two back on time by turning short but minor delays on a very frequent service not many will notice and won't cause too much hassle. You will probably find with all the faffing about turning trains short you will end up losing more time - via f2 you can run trains "fast" through intermediate stations might be a better idea. All very true, but on a railway like the DC Lines regularity of trains is more important to the punters (err, sorry, 'customers'than right time running. So quite frankly no-one's likely to bother very much unless there start to be traincrew issues - if a driver's PNB is scheduled to start right at the 4hr 20min mark Log in to reply The following user said thank you: kieron.young2k13 |

Have you previously mis-routed an LUL train towards Kilburn High Road? From the sim manual: Quote: Trains can only be signalled on to the Bakerloo Line at Queens Park if there is an LU headcode (see below) in the train describer berth at signal 8 and they have fourth-rail power (there is a negative shoe detector approaching the signal). If a train with an LU headcode is signalled towards Kilburn High Road from signal 4 (Queens Park Up line), signal 2 will revert to red and stay so until the train has reversed (more precisely, until signal 7 has been cleared and then the platform is unoccupied). So clear signal 7 and signal 2 will be able to show a proceed aspect.
