Hello all, Is it possible to a train depart early of a timetabled time on SimSig? Let me make the things more clear: Arrive - Depart Station A: 12:00 - 12:00 H Station B: 12:10 - 12:10 H Station C: 12:20 - 12:20 H My question is, there is a way to modify a parameter in TT, if the train arrives early in Station B (12:05), he can depart before the TT time(12:05 H)? Cheers, CTC. :cheer: Log in to reply |

Assuming you are familiar with the timetable editor, open the relevant location and tick the 'Set down only' box. The departure time should change to 12d10, and the train should be able to leave early. This is covered in the wiki here.

All this applies only to Class 1/2/5 trains (1A00, 2B02, 5C04 etc). Class 3/4/6/7/8/9 are treated by the SimSig code as set down only and will often look to move before scheduled time; the TT writer has to use a TT rule to force trains of those classes to wait for time. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: CTCThiago |

There is another sneaky way round it if you want a train to depart early. Right click the train in the F2 list, and on the timetable options select 'go non-stop through next station'. Then right click the train again in the F2 menu, and on the signalling options, select 'shunt forward'. The train will then pull away and stop at the next scheduled stop. I appreciate that you should not do this with passenger trains, but it comes in useful every now and again for freight workings. Log in to reply |

When you want and are ready for a train to depart ahead of the booked departure time if you edit that particular train via F2 Train List and select the next location in it's timetable, be that the next station or a junction, and set that as it's current/next location then the train should depart pretty sharpish.
