I'm not from England, in the case of London Bridge (which is controlled from an ASC, IINM) what recourse is there to keep the railroad moving, or is the job shut?

Also looking at the TFL site it would appear that the overground services have an incident over at Willesden Junction because of signal failures. Not a good night for travelling....time to get the Sim Sig out instead...

In this case it appears that the job was stopped within London Bridge ASC's area of control - which is considerable.

Trains terminated short of the area, diverted around it, and where possible diverted to Victoria (with the resulting overcrowding causing it to close for an hour or so).

There were actually two separate issues I believe. The relay room fire which affected London Bridge Central and pax getting off of trapped trains there wandering around on the eastern side

Late turn at Victoria Area Signalling Centre (ASC) was rather busy once London Bridge ASC stopped accepting trains!

I thought that problem got solved once they brought in sliding doors. When I was on the North East London, passengers getting out & walking invariably caused a lot more problems than the original incident!

Must have been a nightmare getting stock back to where it should have been ready for the morning rush.
