The .wtt files are, behind the scenes so to speak, two XML files inside a zip archive. However there should be no need to open the file, the sim 'opens' it when you start a simulation.

WinRAR is a proprietary archiving program which creates and extracts from .RAR files but is not free. 7-Zip is a free archiving program which generates .7z archive files but can also read .RAR and .ZIP files as well as many other archive types. This would be my choice for your needs if all you want to do is extract the contents of RAR files. 7-Zip itself offers high compression and is popular, but not used as widely as .ZIP or .RAR. jZip also claims to read .RAR and .ZIP files although WOT (Web Of Trust) gives it a poor reputation. I have not tried it. Beware of scam lookalike websites such as http://www.winrar.com and http://www.win-rar.com that may download malware instead of the genuine product. www.rarlab.com is the genuine one. You can download the WOT add-on for Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari browsers. It does not slow down your browsing experience, is easy to use and free. Log in to reply |

" said:Hi guysYou don't need to open it, you just need to drop it into the folder containing the other TTs for that sim. When you run the loader and start the sim, the start up screen will list the TTs from which you can pick the one you want. You were asked about opening it because the .wtt file you have downloaded is actually a compressed folder which contains 2 XML files which comprise the TT. You can open the folder with a number of programs (WinZip, 7-Zip, RAR etc.) but there isn't a lot of point unless you want to edit the TT outside the sim and have a program to edit the XML files inside. You don't need to open it- copy and paste the timetable into the timetable folder of the relevant simulation. If you've used the default locations, the folder will be: Loader simulations: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SimSig\Timetables\Simulation Name Non-Loader Simulations: C:\Program Files*\SimSig\Simulation Name * "Program files (x86)" if you're using Windows Vista/7/8.
